Meet Midlothian, TX Dentist – Dr. Ellis

Dr. Jerry Ellis graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1983 and opened a private practice in Midlothian that same year. He earned the Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1991 and maintains a strong commitment to continuing education in order to provide his patients the latest dental technology and materials.

His wife, Saundra, retired in 2011 after a career in elementary education. She is now the hygiene coordinator at the office.

They have 3 adult children, Susan, Ross, and Neal, who attended Midlothian public schools. Susan and her husband live in Dallas and have 3 children. Dr. Ross Ellis is a chiropractor in Richardson at Catalyst Spine & Sports Rehab. He and his wife, Becky, have a daughter.  Neal and his wife, Leslie, and their daughter live in Bryan, where Neal works in HR for A&M.

In addition to being a resident and active member of the Midlothian community for 31 years and an active member in the First Baptist Church, Dr. Ellis enjoys performing with the Waxahachie Community Theater, appearing in several productions. Favorite roles include:

  • Prof. Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady in 1999 and 2005
  • The King in the King and I in 2008 and 2015
  • Mayor Shinn in  The Music Man in 1993 and 2014
  • Emile de Becque in  South Pacific in 2012; Luther Billis in 1995
  • Daddy Warbucks in  Annie in 2011 and 2017
  • Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls in 2001
